Interview with Dr Anzilutti

Man has long wanted to travel and trip, so that today travel has become an essential component of human life. On the other hand, tourism has developed so that it has become the most lucrative industries and has played an important role in economic development of countries. With the growth of this industry, new markets and species have emerged and one of the relatively new developments in the field of tourism studies is the prevalence of the concept of accessible tourism. accessible tourism seeks to provide tourism products and services in a way that maximizes community Ideally, it can be used by all members of the community. Therefore, the audience of this type of tourism includes a wide range of people in the community who for any reason may have difficulty using the usual tourism services.

Some tourist audiences are accessible to the elderly, the disabled, children and the sick, or even those with temporary mobility impairments. Of course, the largest group of tourists is the disabled, who according to the World Health Organization make up 15% of the world›s population. In this way, we are facing a market that the tourism industry has been almost unaware of, and according to research conducted in this field in recent decades, people with special needs often travel with them. According to a survey on the number of companions of these people It is estimated that on average, each person travels with 1.9 people, which is also true for the elderly.

On the other hand, the statistics of the World Tourism Organization in 2012 show that 150 million disabled tourists in the world have traveled in one year, which according to global statistics is about 11% of the world›s tourist population.

The high statistical population for this market is not only the reason for paying attention to this part of tourism, but also reasons such as loyalty to the accessible destination and re-selecting that destination, helping to reduce the seasonality of the tourism industry and creating a competitive advantage in the destination, investors and governments. Encourage the provision of necessary infrastructure and facilities.

Unfortunately, the lack or lack of facilities for people with disabilities in Iran means that the tourism industry has not been able to get the most out of disabled travelers and their families. In the meantime, education can be the first step to enter this market and it is worth mentioning this education Should be in both public and private managers and investors in order to instill a sense of need, as well as employees and personnel working in the tourism industry in order to change attitudes. Proper training of staff will make older and disabled guests feel more satisfied, and sometimes even proper treatment of guests will avoid physical and structural limitations. Physical adaptation and the creation of the necessary infrastructure can be considered as the second step to improve tourism, which includes the entire chain of the tourism cycle. The third step to enter this commercial market is marketing and introducing the accessible tourism destinations of Iran to the world, which in turn has a great impact on promoting health tourism and attracting patients with temporary or permanent disabilities to our country.

In this regard, we conducted an interview in collaboration with Safarnavisan Magazine and Safiran salamat kavir Medical Tourism Company with Dr. Betina Anzilutti, Founder and CEO of Nõun Events & Executive Executive Training in Argentina.

This educational complex was opened in 1998 with the aim of bridging the gaps and shortcomings in organizing exhibitions and fully specialized trainings in the field of tourism, especially accessible tourism. Dr. Anzilutti continued his activities to meet the high volume of demand for training from several The Spanish-speaking country has established an e-learning department and has participated in 64 international conferences as a speaker.

In response to the assessment of the accessible tourism market in the world, Dr. Anzilutti responded that this part of tourism is growing because according to the statistics of the World Health Organization, one in seven people has a disability, in other words, with society. We are facing a goal of one billion for the tourism industry, and according to the words of Mr. Zurab Pololikashvili, Secretary General of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) about the need for access to tourism facilities and services for visitors as well as local people, we can prioritize the development of this sector. Tourism pointed out. On the other hand, in 2050, one in six people will be elderly (over 65 years old), so this is a unique opportunity to develop the tourism industry.

Dr. Anzilutti further stated that according to the statistics, each tourist with disabilities spends around 200 Euros more per day than tourists without disabilities, which is a reason for the improvement and expansion of this part of tourism.

He considered the expansion of tourism as accidental and without planning and useless strategy, which will cause problems in the long run. Thus, in order to reduce the negative dimensions and destructive effects of tourism development in host communities, in recent decades, the concept of sustainable tourism has been introduced and in its chart, accessible tourism is considered a factor for sustainable tourism development.

Ms. Dr. emphasized investing in promoting accessible tourism in Iran without ineffective reading training and training specialists, as well as their awareness of available tourism, and said that these specialists can use service providers (transportation, hotels, restaurants). , Tour guides, travel agencies, medical tour operators, airlines, etc.), conference offices, tourism secretaries, and any professional / entrepreneur who wants to grow their business. And the benefits of tourism available Solving cultural challenges in this type of tourism, gaining the necessary skills in the stakeholders of the tourism industry in interaction with tourists with disabilities (CRM skills) as well as familiarity with the special needs of disabled travelers during the trip and professional training is an important and separate part Enumerated the tourism industry.

The topic of tourism services and products design training should be designed in accordance with the principles of Universal design and all 7 basic principles have been implemented in it.

1. Having Equitable Use Conditions for All (Equitable Use) 2. Flexibility in Use 3. Simplicity and being based on understanding and direct transmission (Simple and Intuitive) 4. Has Perceptible Information 5. Tolerance for Error 6. Need for Low Physical Effort 7. Has enough size and space for Access and Use (Size and Space for Approach and Use)

Dr. Bettina Anzilutti called the return on investment for investors in this market 100% reversible, adding that since tourism do not travel alone, they travel at least with someone else, thus guaranteeing a return on investment for the host city. Becomes. Secretariat officials or visitors to the convention should know that if their city is accessible, it will be recommended to another by disabled tourists, they will become real promoters, and they will say how happy they are to visit that destination, and so on. The city is starting to be ranked in the top tourist rankings in the world.

In response to the question, he also mentioned the role of tourism available in the development of the health tourism market Accessible tourism plays a decisive role! There is no health tourism without accessibility, because airports, hotels, public transportation ... must first be adapted to accommodate those who choose medical tourism.

In the end, he stated that in the tourism industry, there is a complex interaction between the individual, tourism conditions and the environment. In this regard, research shows that more than two thirds of disabled people travel more if they feel they will have a suitable place to stay. In general, more or less in the design and architecture of hotels, different sections and facilities are designed for non-disabled people, but unfortunately less. For travelers with disabilities, measures have been devised that, of course, with the physical change in accordance with the conditions of people with disabilities in hotels provide the ground for the entry of these people and it is necessary to make these adjustments in different parts of the hotel including parking, hotel entrance, reception and Create elevators, rooms and bathrooms.
